Can the Eagles rebound off the Titans game?

It seems like ages ago that the Eagles blew a two-touchdown lead to the Titans. It was a game that looked like the Eagles were going to easily pull away. Now, the Eagles are waiting to welcome the Vikings into the Linc for a game that is as close to a must win as you can get in the beginning of October. It is a game that will set the tone for not only the rest of the month, but the rest of the season. Neither team has gotten off to the start that they were looking for and both teams will look to get on the right track. You know that each team will give each other their best punch come 4:25PM on Sunday.

As the Vikings walk into the Linc, they will have nightmares of the beating they took in the NFC championship game last year. Led by a quarterback who is 2-2 all time at Lincoln Financial Field, I have watched Kirk Cousins many of times. It doesn’t take much to throw him off his game, so the Eagles just can’t let him get into rhythm. If they let him get into a rhythm with Diggs and Theilen to throw too, it will not be good for the Eagles defense.

To me, it is very simple. The Eagles are different team at home than they are on the road. They have to start playing better on the road, but we’ll worry about that Thursday against the Giants. Sunday, the game is in Philly and I expect the Eagles to bounce back from last week. They will make Cousins uncomfortable early and I think the Eagles offense should be able to make some big plays.

The Vikings defense will look better than they have in previous week. However, they aren’t going to fix all their problems in one week. The same goes with the Eagles defense, as I expect Cousins to hit some big plays on the Eagles as well. I think we get a lower scoring game and the Eagles come away with a hard fought 20-17 victory.
