The NBA season is once again upon us

The start of the NBA season has quickly snuck up on us. It has been such a wild football season that the NBA and its drama has taken a back seat.  The NFL is enjoying one of its best seasons in recent memory. College football has seen upset after upset throughout the last couple weeks. It is no wonder why the NBA has sort of slipped through the cracks. While we all know what the outcome of the NBA season will be(Warriors winning again), there are still some things I am looking forward to watching.

The first thing I’m looking forward to is obviously watching my Sixers. I understand the Sixers aren’t better than Boston and maybe not even Toronto. However, they are a damn fun team to watch play basketball. If you can’t have fun watching Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons play basketball, then I don’t know what to tell you. The Sixers season will most likely not end in the NBA Finals, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the games along the way.

Another thing I am looking forward to is seeing the growth of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Besides sharing the Greek heritage with Giannis, his talents on the court leave me mesmerized every time I watch him play. He does things on a court that a human being just shouldn’t be able to do. He is a great role model and I always root for him as long as he’s not playing the Sixers. I believe this is the year Giannis takes his game into the next stratosphere and wins the MVP. The Bucks should be able to land a top four seed in the East under his guidance.

Last but not least, I can’t wait to see how Lebron acclimates himself to LA. The Lakers have a lot of young talent that I feel Lebron can bring the best out of. As someone who loves Lebron but hates the Lakers, I will be very conflicted throughout the year. I think Lebron and the Lakers surprise a lot of people this season. I see no reason why the Lakers can’t get at least a four seed in the West. Lebron doesn’t have enough help to dethrone the Warriors, but he has more than enough to stay competitive in the tough western conference.
