Miller-Keystone Blood Center has issued an Emergency Appeal for blood and platelet donations, as our community blood supply has reached critical levels.  Approximately 450 donations are needed every day for lifesaving transfusions to those in need, including cancer patients, accident victims & premature infants.  Be the one to make a difference, because JUST ONE MORE donation truly does matter.  January 25, 2020: Enjoy the winter woods with beginner ski lessons. Learn the basics of cross country skiing and practice on our campus. Skis, poles & boots provided – register w/shoe size to guarantee a spot. Mad Science will be an alternative program in the event of no snow only on January 18th date. *Lead support is provided by the William Penn Foundation.

February 22, 2020: Special Olympics Pennsylvania is turning 50! Help us celebrate 50 years of inclusion by jumping into icy cold waters! Take the Polar Bear Plunge at any of nine locations across the state to make a difference in the lives of more than 20,000 Special Olympics athletes. Your pledges will go directly toward supporting year-round sports training and competition in your community.

February 29, 2020: Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. March 7, 2020:  34th Anniversary Celebration of the Annual Magic Night Gala, UCP’s black tie dinner and dance. Magic Night 2020 – A Magical Night at the Met– will be held at the Hershey Country Club on Saturday, March 7, 2020, and will feature The Uptown Band—back by popular demand!

July 18th, 2020: Celebrate 100 years of Wilson Pride! The Borough of Wilson was incorporated into a borough on July 12, 1920 and was named after President Woodrow Wilson.The borough celebrated its rich history with a Golden Jubilee in 1970 and a Diamond Jubilee in 1995.
