Eagles Shock the World in LA

I didn’t think it could be done. I don’t think 95% of the country thought it could be done. But it was done. The Eagles did the unfathomable and went into LA to beat the Rams. A Rams team that was 11-2 and coming off a terrible loss at the hands of the Bears. There was no way the Rams would lose two in a row. However, the Nick Foles led Eagles had other ideas. It seems that Foles is starting to rekindle the magic of last year’s run. I am more of a Wentz guy than I am Foles, but you cannot discredit what Foles has done.

I couldn’t tell you why, but Pederson calls a better game with Foles at the helm rather than Wentz. Doug must feel he needs to call a more balanced game with Foles at quarterback. I hope he soon realizes he should be more balanced no matter who is at quarterback. Not only was the offense balanced, but Foles spread the ball around to everyone. The offense was in rhythm like I had barely seen all season. Doug and Foles deserve a lot of credit for that.

Overall, the Eagles came out with a different energy last night. It was energy and swagger I haven’t seen since the super bowl run. The defense dictated the game until the very end, when they played more lax to protect the lead. We saw yesterday what the Eagles look like when they are clicking in all three phases of the game.

After all the Eagles have been through this year, their playoff chances are alive and well. Should the Eagles win out and the Vikings lose one more game, the Eagles will be in the playoffs. Every time I count this team out, they refuse to go away. This team has a lot of heart. I can’t tell you if they will beat the Texans on Sunday. However, I do know that they will not bow out without a fight. They have shown that much this season. It’s been such a crazy year for the Eagles, that I don’t know what to think anymore. We might as well pull out the dog masks again and enjoy wherever this year takes us.
